Back in Town!

Just wanted to let all of our friends and family know that we are back home in Texas! We had safe and quick travels and are happy to be home! We SOOO enjoyed our time in MS with our family. I'll post lots more about it soon. For now, I have some relaxing to do and tons to catch up on.

Hope that everyone's Holidays are going well! Ours sure has been! :)

Christmas Crafts

I picked up a bunch of fun crafts to do with Dylan this week. Yesterday, time got away from me, and we didn't get to do one. So, today we did TWO! First, Dylan and I painted some fun wooden Christmas decorations. He did a tree and I did a little sign that says "Believe." (Pictures are at the very bottom). We had fun, but it was a MESS. Mostly because London Paisley wanted SO badly to be part of the fun and was into EVERYTHING. I wanted so badly for her to be able to do crafts with us too, so we tried, but it was not very successful. I think now that she is "into" craft time, we'll have to do it during her nap time... until she is just a bit older. Anyways, they turned out pretty cute regardless.

When Daniel got home from work tonight (and Dylan was waiting anxiously ALL day), we did our first family gingerbread house. We waited until we put London into bed, and that helped out a lot. She would have been miserable not being able to eat all the candy and icing! haha! It has been ages since I made one of these, and I don't think Daniel had ever... so it was kind of like the blind leading the blind. And even though it was a premade kit, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be! hahah! We had a lot of fun and our house... it had a lot of... character. Dylan was proud as could be of it, and thats what made it worth it. He even put one of his super hero men in the middle of the house to "live in" until Christmas day (when I promised he could take it apart). I am loving Christmas with a five year old. He is so excited about everything. And miss London Paisley is just the icing on our beautiful cake!

Photo Shoot With a Mission.

I need pictures of the kids to put in some big frames in my hallway.
Several family members have requested framed photos aswell.
So yesterday, I was on a MISSION to get some great photos. I'm pretty pleased with these. I especially love Dylan's. He is either SO ON or SO OFF with photos, and yesterday he was ON! I don't think I found THE picture that I want framed yet, but its a good start and I think I will do a few of these in smaller frames for the table.

Here are the ones of them together (always the hardest to get!)

(if I frame any, it will be this one)

Lazy Days.

After being on a non stop pace for the past two to three weeks, the kids and I have done absolutely nothing all day long for the past two days. Well, not noting, but as little as we could. It was so nice to not be in a hurry to do this or that or be somewhere. I will say that I think by the end of the night tonight, we were all feeling a little stir crazy and enjoyed our trip to Sonic to pick up food a little more than normal! haha! Tomorrow will be another busy day though!

The past two days have been mostly filled with playing in the floor, reading books, naps, dancing, and a couple of fun tv shows. The only thing that would have made it better would have been Daddy being home with us! He was hard at work though!
Here are some pictures of our "Staycation"!

I don't know if you can tell, but she is rocking a PONYTAIL and a BRAID!! I am LOVING having a little girl to play dress up with (and my boy to play super heroes with!)

Even Daisy has enjoyed being lazy.

Check out London's first "all day" ponytail! (meaning, I've tried putting into one before, but it did last long. This time it stayed in all day!!)

Dylan's Christmas Party

We had Mr. Man's classroom Christmas Party this past Tuesday. I am the Room Mom for his class, so I was super busy running around working the party, so I only got these three pictures. Daniel was also there to keep up with London Paisley, but that was full time job for him, so he didn't get to take any pictures either. I learned the hard way at Dylan's Halloween party that I couldn't keep London AND be Room Mom for the parties at the same time. :)

The party was a hit and I think all of the kids really enjoyed it. We filled them up with lots of yummy food and tons of sugar, then we did some crafts. First I had all the kids make a jingle bell necklace. I hate that I didn't get pictures of them, because they were super cute! After the jingle bells we made hand print ornaments, again I HATE that there are no pics, because the were TOO cute! Next we played a few rounds of Christmas Bingo, which all the kids really loved. And Daniel finished the party off with a nice Christmas book reading to all the kids. Whew. It was a lot of work, but Dylan and his friends had a blast, so it was all worth it! :)

Playing Outside.

Last week, it was in the 20s most everyday. So, we didn't get to get out much at all.
This week it has been in the low 60s most days, so we've spent a good deal of time out doors. These are just a few random shots, nothing too special, just hanging out outside!

PS. Daniel got his hair cut in a NEW style and shaved himself up! Isn't he looking so nice!?

Dylan's First Library Card!!

Dylan has been waiting VERY patiently since he turned five to go get his first Library card, and Wednesday, we were able to do just that! He was so proud of himself and felt like such a big boy! At first he was a little timid about being able to pick out books to take home, but he soon warmed up to the fact that he could take "ANY BOOK I WANT!!" and filled up a whole sack with them.

Here is our little guy with his first Library Card!

He did enjoy the books, but was equally excited about the blocks they had to play with. Check out his awesome castle!

This was the neatest chair. They were two rocking chairs that were connected and facing each other. So it was almost like a rocking chair- seesaw! Both the kids like it, but London REALLY loved it and spent the majority of her time sitting right there!

On a side note, check out her cute little Christmas outfit!

Rockin Around the Christmas Tree

Dylan had his Christmas program at school tonight and he was just the cutest thing. Each class only did one song, which made it a very nice and short program, much less stress on the kids! I didn't get many picture of performance, because I was doing a video instead! It will be in the next post (so the one on top of this one!) Here are the ones that I did get though:

Sister and Daddy waiting for Dylan's big performance! I was worried that she wouldn't sit well during the program, but she did GREAT! She loved seeing the "big" kids preform and she was dancing to every song!

Look at Mr. Cool!

This is my Super Star after the show
